With many major designers showcasing their black and white looks, not only did the trend rock the New York Fashion Week, but it also carried over the 2013 SAG Awards red carpet. Below, we've rounded up 4 of our favoriate black and white prom dresses. Whether you opt for a fashion-forward slit frock or short ruffled dress, these colorblocked dresses are sure to be noticed.

1. Black & White Slit Gown

You will look as pretty as a picture when you're decked out in this strapless gown! A contrasting band with a jaunty bow brightens up the beaded sweetheart bodice. The satin fabric skims along curves until partway down the skirt, where it flares out and forms a small train.

2. Sequin Black & White Sheath Dress

This form-fitting, long gown features a one shoulder strap and ruched bodice. Rhinestones and beadings adorn the bodice and separate the black and white areas. The long skirt completes this glamorous look.

3. Ruffled Black & White Short Dress

The ready to ship dress is made of charmeuse and ice net, featuring a strapless neckline in sheath silhouette. The beautiful beads and unique ruffles at the hem make it distinguished.
